What air filters do you use?

About to replace the air filters in my a6 2.7t...

I've been reading of the performance air filters' oil gumming up the maf. I'm happy with the stock air box but would like an upgraded filter... but suggestions on CAI/SRI setups are welcome.
As of right now I'm thinking of just getting a charcoal cabin air filter and either an OE or Mann paper engine air filter.

none that i could hear from the cabin, but with it the maf reads around 30 lb/min of air moving through at WOT
couldn't get that with stock filter or k&n

aFe is dry, so no deposits on MAF, reusable (better for environment) and flows slightly better than stock:

I have one new one out of the package with modded airbox to accept 85mm MAF housing for sale.

as for open filter elements, your air intake temperature in the summer makes you loose good amount of power with them. I currently have one, but with heat shield partition.

I'm actually after a little more induction noise and thinking I may modify my Airbox to accept internal cone. When I did this on my over bored 3.1cc golf vr6 it sounded so good under load.

If you want induction noise, drill a few holes in airbox, done.
