Mileage is currently at 91k. I've done one track day with the car at Inde Motorsports Ranch in Tucson about a year ago, I ran 3 sessions and the car was flawless (I'll throw in the Carbotech XP10 pads I have, they're barely used). I, on the other hand, was not as flawless, and had an off-track excursion into the rocks which is why there is that rash of stone chips on the rear fenders. I've gotten estimates of $1000 to get both sides re-sprayed. It has been a reliable beast of a car, I'm going to miss it a lot, but it's time to move onto something more practical, unfortunately. I have a rather thick folder full of receipts for a lot of the work I've done, and email receipts for the rest going back to August of 2013 when I bought the car originally. I am located in Gilbert, AZ.

Not sure on the smog question, but I have no check engine light, and the car shows full readiness for OBD II. It passes AZ emissions, but it's just the kind where they plug their computer into the OBD II port, they don't do the sniff test. Not sure how it is in CA.

Hmmm, I'll have to check. I know it varies from car to car. They have done the sniff test on my truck but they just plug into the OBD II on my A4. Hopefully thats the case.

Cool, let me know. If anything, it wouldn't be too hard to swap in a set of stock downpipes since they use the same slip joint where they connect to the cat-back section.

If a proper smog test is done in California, heck no it won't pass. Proper test in Cali is both visual and ODBII. You can get it to pass ODBII but you won't pass visual. The reason they do visual is exactly the case for a car like this (no cats but can be made to pass ODBII with spacers on 02 sensors). In California no mods to emmissions stuff is legal, no aftermarket cats are legal and of course running catless is not legal. You could put stock downpipes back on for smog test and pass every two years.

It has cat'ed downpipes, but they were hollowed out a while ago, for what it's worth. And there are no spacers on any of the O2's.

Well either way I'm sure I could get it to pass smog. My A4 is catless and passes. It all depends on where you go to get the test done.
