    Dyno Results

Got a chance to dyno my car today and thought I'd share some of the results. I don't know if my expectations were low but I was pleasantly surprised with the results. My car is a 2015, 6spd with the sport diff with around 5600 miles (if that makes a difference?)

    Mods include:
    Chipwerke Pro
AWE Touring Resonated Down Pipes and Exhaust
    APR Stage 1 & 2 Intake

As soon as I can figure out how to post pics/videos, I will, but results were...

    1st Run - 367.48
    2nd Run - 373.77
    3rd Run - 370.53

what was stock like on this dynojet ? i guess you don't know right ?

TBH, they say intake is about +10hp and touring with DP is suppose ot be another +10hp. so if stock is 330hp + 20hp ( usually dynojet and dynapack read higher than roller soo stock with less than 10k miles should be around 330hp i believe), it means the CW only gave +20 hp which IMO is pretty poor..

    What's a typical Dynojet/Mustang factor?

I've heard on factors, real hp, any do can make numbers, blah blah, but my limited experience is there is a reasonable and somewhat constant gap between the two.

Yeah but it would've been nice to compare with that car and the mods.

We are talking wheel horsepower numbers here, not crank. 370whp is what most stage 2 tunes are dynoing. Most stock S4s are seeing around 300whp give or take, meaning his intake, DP, and Piggyback are combined for 70whp, which is pretty excellent if you ask me. Close to 100 crank horsepower putting his car over 400hp at the crank.

Isn't the dyno's reading at the wheels? And I have seen some dyno graphs from stock cars having as much as 300hp at the wheels. So, with that being said intake +10hp, exhaust +10hp would mean the CW Pro is giving as much as 53hp gain using 300hp as a stock car reading.

I understand all this, before the s4, i had a 650whp skyline that has been dynoed on a mustang and a dynapack numerous times.. I'm well aware of all this. Every dyno read different and its easy for a tuner to play with the calibration to end up with the numbers they wish to show lol.. the real test would be to take it to a 1/4 miles run :)

OP ; It's nice you shared those numbers with us, don't get me wrong, no one should be offended by my comments. my point was more like.. maybe something is left on the table here !

Agreed. I wish I had a baseline from stock to compare from. I know vendors sometimes inflate their HP numbers so I take those with a grain of salt. Never thought, I'd actually mod this car this early on and even get the opportunity to dyno this car.

If it makes any difference, my brother was with me and he dyno's his tuned 2015 M5, he doesn't have an aggressive tune. And there was a x5m as well. My brother's M5 was putting down 620whp and the x5m was putting down 506whp. Stock.. the two cars share the same engine but obviously the trannys differ, m5 (7 spd dual clutch) vs x5m (8spd awd), so that may affect the numbers a bit.

Numbers look great, but as others stated, need to look at the delta. Dynos vary so much and isn't as good as taking to the dragstrip for "real world" stats. I put mine on a couple of different ones, and couldn't squeeze out more than 340 or so. I was pissed until i took it to the strip, then all was good.

Looks to be on par with other tuned M5s that I have seen, give or take obviously.
