Coolant Temp Sensor Vs Rear coolant flange

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Alright so I am a little confused. I had the coolant Temp Sensor replaced. Is there a separate o ring for the coolant flange itself? My leak hasn't gone away after the temp sensor was replaced and I want to try anything inexpensive before I have to look at the heater core.

This is what I was told I needed, but I don't wanna buy it if I dont need it.

You leak was probably not coming from the temp sensor but the coolant flange itself
And as you can see on the pictures you posted, the oring comes with the new flange

PIA to access, easy to replace

I'd be checking your vacuum pump for leaks since you are ripping all that out anyway. Having done the timing cover once I'd even take that off just for easier access.
