This is the same issue I had with my RS4 that ended up with me selling the car. My suggestion is get a compression check done on the engine by a dealer or a reputable shop. Mine had low compression in one of the cylinders. Had it scoped and it showed scoring, which was probably the cause of the problem. I had a thread about this before and quite a few people had the same smoking problem. I think a couple of them managed to solve it by replacing PCV, or injectors. And one other had low compression in a cylinder also. Best to know what type of repair is needed before spending that much money on a car. My repair quote was through the roof so I dumped the car and moved onto another car. But I am still looking for another RS4 to buy some day. Just waiting for the right one to come up for sale
It is the black one at Carbon oak. They were supposed to get back to me with details today, but I didn't hear from them.
Blue smoke coming out of a German car is never a good thing (unless, perhaps, from a vape). Ottawa is a 5 hour drive for me, and I was trying to find the time to make the trip soon, but I believe you just saved me 10 hours and a whack of $s. Thanks Renn.
