    Roc Euro sucks

I ordered an intake for my 3.0 c7 originally at the end of March I was told it would be shipped as soon as payment cleared. He sent me an invoice through paypal and I paid it immediately. I waited 2 effing weeks and nothing comes. So, I call to find out what the deal is. The guys like,"oh yea, your order was one of the ones that got hung up in PayPal... PayPal was having some issues." He said he had to resend the invoice because it was expired. He knocked it down to $299 and said," it's in stock and as soon as payment clears I'll ship it out." Well, payment cleared that day and again I waited. 2 weeks go by and still nothing. So again I call and ask what is going on. He apologizes and says,"it's missing a part and I didn't want to ship it to you until it was complete that way you wouldn't be waiting on another package." Keep in mind he has already told me twice that they are in stock and that he is going to ship it. So again, a third time I am nice and understanding. He says it will be there next Thursday at the latest, so sorry, yada yada bullshit! It is now the Friday one week after the Thursday he said it would be here. Literally 8 days after the date he said it would be here. He doesn't answer emails, he doesn't respond to messages and he effing lies every time you talk to him. He is full of more shit than a portapotty. I'm so fed up with all this it's not even funny anymore. I have literally been waiting almost 8 weeks for this intake that everyone says on here is the best for our cars, and I'm done. I'm done with being lied to repeatedly and led on. This isn't the way to run a business or treat your customers. What is the best intake for our vehicles leaving roc euro's atrocity of a business out of the picture?

Yeah, it's a joke. Nothing new here; constant lies, missed promises, and no communication.

I believe your only other options are the Injen and the USP intake. I'd go USP but it is quite a bit more than the Roc Euro for what's the same basic design.

Welcome to the club I got my intake after 8 weeks. Repeated phone calls and emails. Well I finally got it with one missing part. I called him and he said he'll send it out today asked for my last name and he said oh I got you invoice on the table. Ask him to confirm the address and he kinda just brush it off. I highly doubt I will get that missing part anytime soon. But we'll see...

I just put in a K&N filter and I guarantee it does about as much as any full aftermarket intake on the market. It is the stock filter that is restrictive, nothing else.

If it's the best intake for the 3.0T, why is the fastest one in the country running the OEM airbox?

    Hype spreads like wildfire here.

Wow, what a crappy experience you had with Roc-Euro! Glad you posted your story so others can go into it with eyes wide open if they go this route.

I went with the AWE S-Flo intake and couldn't be happier....

Or you can go with the OEM RS7 intake like I did. For just under $400 for the intake and $60 for a K&N filter you can't beat it. Adds some OEM class and also noticeable sound.

Yup, same story here but I did finally get my intake and I have to say I love it but the whole experience sucked. I don't think he rips people off he just lies to people and over promises and under delivers. I didn't even get a shipping notification mine just showed up one day.

I'm coming up on 7 weeks waiting for mine. First and only response I got from him was back on 4/8 (it was shipping out next week of course). He hasn't even responded to my Paypal dispute. I was surprised to find out people haven't been reporting him to the BBB, there was only one comment for Roc Euro. Paypal will lock his account down based on the number of claims brought against him, I forget the limit you get but he's got to be close.

Yeah, I can only speak on my own experience and it took me a few days to get the intake. Hell, the filters themselves actually showed up the day after I ordered (drop ship overnight?). He answered his phone on maybe the second ring and responded to my email after I ordered just clarifying that I needed the extra RS heat shield (I couldn't remember if I told him which car i had). Not sure why all of this was perfect while others keep waiting or not getting responses.

I sourced these out. They look good and fit good and came in the right length and is a reducer. The only problem is they don't have enough flexibility as the accordion style hoses so the air box snout into the turbos kept popping off. I eventually just ordered the stock RS7 accordion hoses and I don't have any problems now. The brand is AeroFlow.

I wondered about the flexing, after seeing this in the other thread. How did you get the RS7 accordion hoses to fit onto the smaller diameter metal turbo intake pipes, on the S6?

I ended up using the stock S6 accordion hose end where it slides onto turbo inlet side. I cut off just the end that slides on, cut off the molded pieces of plastic that stick up which then allowed me to slide the RS7 accordion hose right over the S6 piece. It was a perfect fit. Was probably he best thing i could have done to make it work properly.

Changing the filter does not. Changing the whole intake is an unknown. They could deny you coverage if you have an engine issue even if it is unlikely that the intake was the problem. Since it produces no extra power whatsoever over just the filter, why risk it. BTW, throttle response with the K&N is very clearly better. You will see how restrictive the stock filter is, especially with the sock that goes over it. Can't believe air can even get through this thing.

I guess I will give K&N a shot. It's relatively cheap when compared to replacing the whole intake.

    Roc Euro sucks

Seems like a hit or miss. I ordered from Roceuro in February and was charged. I have experienced at least 6 missed promises from John since that time while it looks like others have gotten theirs in no time. I've since had no success raising them on the phone, calling many times a day. Tomorrow I'll be calling my card company to issue a chargeback. I'm disappointed and will suggest no one do business with them until they get their house in order.

P/N is E-1983 for those interested. I am curious, how often do people clean and oil these filters?

If the K&N filter is letting more air in, isn't it also letting more ... dirt and particulate in?

According to K&N site, the compatible part no. for RS7 is E-0664 but if E-1983 fits S6/7 I don't see why it's not going to fit RS7. Do you know what are the differences between the two?

The RS7 filter is a bigger diameter filter (inside and outside) which allows better air flow than the S6/7 filter.

Re the dirt/particulate levels with K & N. K & N says the tortured air path and the oil in the filter captures more dirt and particulate matter, but most tests (not by K & N) show that K & N filters do allow more dirt through than a paper filter. Some even say they should only be used for race engines that are rebuilt regularly. Didn't stop me from using one...

I think you are right. I just looked into the vehicle applications info of both and found that E-0664 is for RS6/7 only.

Maybe it is letting more particulate matter in, maybe it isn't. This stuff is so microscopic, however, that I really don't think it matters for the life of these cars/engines. I have run high flow filters on many, many cars, including my Stage 3+ B5 S4 that went over 130,000 miles. No issues.

Yeah don't order the RS7 K&N filter if you plan on using it in a stock S6 air box. It does not fit. It's close but no cigar. I have both and each only got there own.

None at all, feels like a much quicker oem car in terms of refinement and drivability with more S/C whine from the 034motorsports silicone intake tube.
