    Hey guys,

Anyone here has any recommendation for a stage 3 clutch for a 2.8 5 speed manual?

    Thanks!

I thought they use a 240mm s4 style clutch, I could be wrong tho.

The 2.8 clutch is very different to that of the 2.7T, at least the pressure plate is. The friction disc and TOB of the S4 are the only interchangeable parts.

Both Fidanza and SB offer stage 3 clutches for your 2.8 5-speed 01A.

But unless you're bolting a bigger or more powerful motor to your 01A, for the extra $$$ and harder pedal feel, I would replace the stock clutch with an OEM set-up, if it's slipping or otherwise worn out.

Thanks nolly. I run the RA4 flywheel in my 1.8t so I'm all S4 stuff now. Thanks for clearing that up for me

Well this is a tad more complicated than that. My A4 2.8 is being converted into a 2.7T. Basically I intend to keep my 5 speed transmission, but I'm also upgrading turbos to Frankenturbos, meaning I'll need a stronger clutch for sure.
I changed both the clutch and the flywheel months ago, which means all is brand new OEM Luk, but it won't take the power of Frankenturbos for sure. I'll need something stage 3.

CM 2.7t clutch/flywheel conversion kit for the 2.8. Basically it is the same kit as the 2.7t but slightly shorter overall stack height. There are a few other options as well. CM even offers a aluminum flywheel for the 2.8 which is designed just for the 2.8 style clutch kits which are different then the 2.7t kits.
