Has anyone ran into any problems after installing wheel spacers, on a lowered S6? I have lowering links and thinking about installing 12mm all around. Want to make sure there are no issues. Thanks

I've done 12mm all around, HR spacers with RAD 2-piece bolts, no issues with rubbing on lowered (via VCDS) S6. 12mm is quite conservative, there is more room, but sufficient for my taste.

However, existing issues tend to amplify with spacers. I had pretty bad vibration issues and had to repair 3 bent wheels. This significantly improved the ride but there was still some slight vibrations/NVH that I couldn't eliminate even with Roadforce balancing. I then changed to Michelin PSS from the P-Zeros and I'm finally completely 100% happy.

To summarize, get high-quality spacers and bolts, balance your wheels and pray nothing else pops up!

I jsut ordered 15mm ECS spacers and airmatic evo lowering links, should have both installed within a week or so. will report back if you've still not made your decision. from everything i've found, you can go up to 20mm without rubbing.

I have 15mm spacers, dropped with the VAG 17mm and i only run into rubbing when turning downhill then going uphill right away. Nothing major.

That looks amazing. I'm thinking of going with a 20x9.5 wheel at et 40, a 275/30 tire, and lowered with H&R Springs. Based on the information of above I think I should be good, and probably should not use spacers. Does any body have any thoughts on this set up?

    Thanks!
One minor note: I did remove the fender liner screws up front (near top center of wheel well), that really do nothing at all (I did the same on my RS4). No rubbing since doing that, even when pushing it hard in the corners. Was getting occasional rub prior.

Good Intel. I might need to do that on mine.

How do you like the Blizzaks? Have you run other snows in that sizing? I'm going to pick up my set soon, waffling between the Blizzaks and the Dunlop 3Ds (and wondering if anything new is coming out this year, suppose i need to research more). I have Hakka R2s on my STi but feel like i want something more all around than ice grippy on the S6.

You should be good to go. That is about perfect IMO. I am running 265/35/20 on 9.5" with 39mm offset. 275/30 with the slightly shorter sidewall will work just fine.

I've had Blizzaks on my last 3 cars and haven't looked back. Love 'em and see no need to switch / look for others.

Not yet, Saturday I think. I did a 15mm vagcom drop for now so I'm holding off on the links for now. It begs for spacers though and I wonder if I'll want to go to 20s.

I drove 300km/h with ecs 12,5 rear and 5mm front, no problems. What i don't like that in the front spacers make steering heavier.

The only problem you'll run into is if you buy spacers that aren't hubcentric. I tried putting 5mm spacers that weren't hubcentric on mine for winter, and it caused the center of the wheel to not sit on the hub as designed. I have 10mm H&R spacers that are though and there have been no issues. Hope this helps
