MMI for usb type c?

I picked up a Nexus 6P and was wondering if anyone knows there is a mmi type c cable available. After seeing Adplaya get the screen to cast to the nav screen, I'm interested in trying to get it to work with my nexus 6P.

That's what I'm thinking I'll have to do. A little nervous as there are stories of usb type c converters/cables bricking phones...
