    Ok, I have fidelity extended warranty with Platinum coverage.. so anyone here has the same warranty and elect to have work done with non dealer shop? any issues at all during reimbursement?

    Just went through this for my 2010. Used an Indy shop and had no issues with them approving work, took a few days for an adjuster and then final approval. Had about 4,500 in work completed. They would not cover control arms as I am lowered. Fair enough.

    Why not just take it to the dealer.... Unless your dealer sucks.

    From what my service advisor told me, it doesn't matter. If you're using an aftermarket/extended (aka. Non-factory/CPO) warranty, whether or not you're flagged TD1 is irrelevant. Those companies/adjustors do not have access to those records. The way he explained it is -- it's business/revenue for the dealership, they don't care.

    If you're outside your factory warranty.... TD1 is irrelevant
