    SOLVED - fuel leaking at Banjo Bolt on HPFP

    Just finished a cam follower replacement. now there is fuel leaking from the banjo bolt on the HPFP. What should I look for?

    Dont have the banjo bolt design, but shouldnt you replace the crush washers?

    There's actually no crush washer. They are between the brass fitting and the pump housing, the banjo bolt is tapered. At least I know there is none on mine;)

    UPDATE: Seems like a non-issue. There's a brass fitting that the banjo bolt connects to. The brass fitting on mine wasn't snug. (rookie mistake)

    I couldn't get to the brass fitting with the HPFP installed.. Man I'm getting good at removing that now.

    do you use a short 17 ?

    I don't have one and don't have the heart to chop mine down .. need to go to a flee market and pick up a 17 I can hack .. that is the savior tool. !

    Make sure you get that brass fitting tight they are pipe threads

    Yeah I snugged it up pretty good.

    When I pulled everything off to inspect it, I didnt' see anything that had been cross threaded so I was hoping it was just a loose bolt.

    For those that are curious about the torque specs from APR's HPFP instructions

    28Nm this is the tightening torque for the assembly of the Banjo or Bamboo-style fuel fitting into the pump only
    15Nm low fuel pressure sensor
    10Nm three bolts
    25Nm Union Nut for fuel line
    17Nm Banjo Bolt
