    I NEED A n276... spare... :(

UPDATE: Turns out I broke the n276 valve on top of the HPFP and wouldnt you know its not replaceable without buying an new entire pump. Any ideas on where to source one? I am going to check with the local junk yards tomorrow as they are closed now but if anyone has one sitting around and wouldnt kill me on price I would be grateful.. I just installed my JHM internals and really don't feel like getting a new pump lol.

    Any help is awesome.

As for the brake pulsing its because I am a fool. The tranny ended up fixing itself once fluid filled the converter? Idk this shit.

HELP ME AND GET MY WIFE OFF MY ASS FOR BEING ON HERE AND NOT TAKING HER OUT TO DINNER!

Background: I pulled my engine to do the 1.8t oil pump swap as I was having issues. Bearings were fine and such and everything went together *fine* after a while :P

    Info: 2006 A4 2.0t Tiptronic AWD

Problem: After filling fluids and such I went to start the engine up for the first time from the work. After the fuel pump got some gas..... success :D Seems to be running fine, although a bit of a high idle (~1100-1300 rpm) but its cold so seems okay. The issue is I hear an odd noise when I put it in reverse/drive and the engine pulses. I have not tried to move it as its on stands still.

I removed the lines from the radiator and the toque converter in the process of the work. A little bit of fluid was lost but I wouldn't it would be enough to cause an issue. Am I wrong? the engine pulses down to around ~600 rpms then back up to ~800rpms in a rhythmic every other second pulse. No codes popping up but obviously something is wrong.

When I shift it back into park it gives me a bit of a grind that sounds like missing a gear on a manual. I am assuming its due to the loss fluid. Any advice?

    Thank you in advance.

Remove the fill plug, fill till overflows, finger tight replace the fill plug, start, run through gears with brake on until tranny temp gets to around 40oC, repeat process until it takes no more fluid. Only way to really know.

UPDATE: I let it run for about 30 seconds and it fixed itself. Must have just needed the fluid to move.

BUT then I have another problem. I would like to say its a success considering I have fine oil pressure per a mechanical gauge, but after it does the whole warm up idle at a higher rpm it drops down to ~900 and surges still. Almost coming to a stall but never stalls just pulses back and forth. I have ~175-180 psi per piston per compression test and timing is correct. No codes from vagcom. What should I be looking for? oil level is correct as well.

    JK I have this

P2294 - Fuel pressure regulator valve (n276) open circuit. Looking into it but still open to suggestions.

I am pretty sure its my fuel pump =\ I must have busted the sensor while installing my JHM upgraded internals as there is a crack on it... anyone have a spare sitting around? Apparently they are not open to just buy as spare parts..
