Drivers side mirror adjusting with unlock button?

2004 S4. When I'm unlocking my car from outside with the key fob one press will cause the drivers side mirror to start turning towards the outside until I press the unlock button again as if I were trying to unlock all the doors on the car. I seem to be having this issue intermittently. It'll do this 9 times out of 10 for maybe a week or two then wont do it again for awhile. It's quite annoying as I have to adjust my mirror back to the correct position every time I get into my car. Any help you guy/gals have would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, mine has done this too and I have no idea why. Quite annoying.

Also, I think the last time this happened I pressed the seat memory button that I had set (which sets mirrors too) and it didn't fix it. So it actually overrides the mirror position entirely.

Probably some weird body control module glitch.

Posted the same thing in the A4 forum. Might have something to do with the seat memory settings. Clearing the seat memory and resetting it with the key fob may be a fix to the problem. Either that or piece that calibrates and adjusts the side mirror may be bad.

I had my battery disconnected for a couple of MONTHS while dealing with a plethora of engine crap. Made no difference.

I usually turn this feature off because the same thing was happening to me (driver side as well). Eventually something broke within the base of the driver side mirror so that it wouldn't fold in or out properly, and when I bought a replacement one from a forum member, the problem I shared with the OP disappeared.
