has anyone tried using these types of oils,? the guy at the auto shop in town was telling me about it and told me it would do wonders for my car. its a turbo diesel oil and i have the 2.0T gas. he said it has something to do with a few of the chemicals in it that help it do something.

Rotella t6 is a very popular oil for turbo cars. Many people use it on WRX's, STi's, Evo's, GTRs etc..

I personally just use Audi spec oil.

I am running t6 for the first time now and have about 800 miles on it. Still looks like new.

There are a good deal of lab reports on AZ for this oil that show it works extremely well

People have been running this for years. Some have success, others not so much. But not all cars are created equal, even if the same exact year and model vehicle. I personally used to run this also. I also ran higher ends that also never make any approval list (not just the VAG list), like Amsoil. Currently running Mobil 1 Euro and will most likely try the Shell with natural gas as base stock next.

Used it for 90,000 miles in a 1.8t in extreme conditions, and when I pulled my
head it was clean as a whistle.

When I bought my cpo a year ago this month I religiously would check this screen as I was worried i would have the oil consumption problem. I use Motul 8100 Xcess and do mostly highway to From work. I get about 1500- 2k miles before the oil level registers a slight drop. I always carry a quart in the boot to be prepared. Just changed it recently at 7k on the oil and it had a nice brown color. It's supposedly a long drain oil but last change i left it in for 8k and it was definitely visually dirtier. So at 55k now I'm happy it seems the engine is sound. CjwKEAjwpfC5BRCT1sKW2qzwqE0SJABkKFKRKiK_R3Ja2eJdUl 1LtojDgTIxpSx-cY1HIlvj9GkAPRoCWrfw_wcB
