Smile Drawbacks of coding RNS-E from A4 to A6?

Story short. I have A4B6 with RNS-E all is shiny and working (Navi/SD/AUX/TV), but no VIM.
Can not locate anybody nearby who could do Video In Motion hack.
My VCDS cable for some reason does not connect to the navigation, but have somebody nearby whose does. Doing VIM by my self sounds a bit risky.
VIM would be perfect, but I believe I would lose AUX, but as I have mentioned before, nobody does those nearby plus I would need working VCDS which could connect.

After quick test find out that setting RNS-E coding from A4 to A6 it allow to drive and see video in TV.
Are there any drawbacks from this?

Navigation is a bit laggy after that, but it still does work. Are there any other things? Why people are paying 100$ for devices who allows VIM via hardware?

The RNS-E works with the A6 provided the correct wiring harness is used. For VIM, that requires special coding that cannot be done from within VAG-COM (VCDS). You'll need to find someone with the tools to have that set.

I am not talking about moving to to A6 from A4, I am talking about setting coding of it from A4 to A6 :)
If RNS-E is set to A6 it no longer checks for gala signal and no longer shuts down the TV while driving.
If there are no other issues for example all night running RNS-E without powering off, then I don't really mind of having laggy navigation.

I have harness for non-bosse and all is working just fine while coding is set to A4 or A6.

Just wondering if I am missing something.
