RS Grille Install. Mystery bumper part. Where does it go?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I just removed my bumper and noticed this on the ground below it:
I looked up the part number and it says it's a center bumper support but I don't know where it goes?
And yes, it is now broken (oops). So I'll have to fix it.

    Any help is appreciated

This goes onto the upper grille support brace. Not really needed with the RS grille unless u used the support brace.

Use the usp motorsports install guide, they have pics of that part and instructions. I just installed a new grille on my ride a few weeks ago and it looks great. Wasn't the most fun diy but was rewarding in the end.

preference really. it's not necessary to run with aftermarket grilles but I do so it's less flimsy.

I wasn't sure on this either. I almost used it, but decided not to. We'll see if it creates an issue. I'm also curious what others have done, and whether a lack of support has created issues for anyone.

Now I found a random screw that was under the car that I don't even recall taking it. It's significantly bigger than all the other screws I took out and put back in. Think it's an extra that was lost under the engine?

This is one of the bumper screws under the car. There are 4 of them, you're probably missing 1. Either that or its one of the two at each edge. Either way, it's a bumper screw.

it's the fender liner screw. the 3 main bumper screws have a neck to them and are silver in color, the corner screws are 1/4 turn screws.

RS Grille Install. Mystery bumper part. Where does it go?

If it's not the fender liner screw it's one if the 4 screws in the front bottom for the plastic belly pan. Just did my grille last week. Crawl under and see if one of the screws popped out.

I'll double check. I may have missed one on the belly pan.
