If you run the car and check batt voltage then have another person put on your headlights high beams blower motor on high wipers you should see a drop in voltage and then it will go up if it does that alt is fine. Batt will be fine if you have a strong start every time. If it's slow to crank, hesitation, or groggy these are basic signs of a weak batt I'd just change it buy it from Audi I found it's cheaper than advanced auto parts or Autozone those guys will sell you a batt that is 500-760 cold cranking amps. You don't need all that it's a waist unless you plan on playing your radio with the eng off a lot. The cold cranking amps is how many amps you need to crank the 4 cylinders over with thick cold oil with out bogging brown your starter. There is actually a formula out there based on eng displacement I do believe. The 4.2 liter only needs 520 ish cold cranking amps. The 2.0t only needs 3-400. You would use a 700 cold cranking amps for and old big block Chevy or a big diesel eng. any questions?
