Any aftermarket electrical stuff installed? Anything plugged into the cigarette plug?

Just an aftermarket HU, and a phone charger. Those were there before this happened but I'll try.

How about the voltage regulator? You should be idling around 14V.
Voltage regulators are supposed to limit the voltage to 14.3 so it could be limiting it too much either because of a bad ground or too much resistance between the regulator and the battery

The voltage regulator is new from the rebuild alternator. I was hoping a bad ground too, but haven't able to find it.

Please check the multimeter battery first. It will give you erroneous issues if its bad.

Replace the fuel rail sensor and if that doesn't fix it then move on to the HPFP. Also just double check all your earths, voltages at different points. And finally, please replace the multimeter battery, a common issue that provides incorrect values.

    Bumping up...

    So its been 3years ago.
My car was mostly in a garage.
And this past few months I brought it up to an Audi dealer.
So far have been replacing HPFP, ECM. G247,G410, G31. And only one problem remains a52230b0-7802-46d5-82d1-e71f244ea131.jpg if anyone can help i replaced hpfp with an seeded part number do i have to replace the G410 the updated one. The one that i use belonged to MKV that happended to be in the dealership. The dealership even attached my G410 and G31 to the MKV. And everthing was fine except in my car. Thanks for everyone who can help.

U have to use parts that are for ur specific vin number, parts may “work” but theres many differences. Get the correct hpfp
