Need Help: Car turned off while driving and did not start again.

    Hello everybody,
As stated in subject my car turned off while I was driving and couldn't started again. Car stalled and then stoped.
I did timing belt about 15k miles ago and was my first thought. I opened the hood, checked the TB and it is there and intact. I removed the oil cap and tried to start the engine but i see parts are not moving.

    Any ideas?
    What should I check?
Can I consider the engine's gone?

    My car: 2001 A4, 5sp, FWD.

Thanks for your help and advise!!!

With the highlighted part of your post, possibly your crank sprocket keyway has sheared off.

I would tear down the front, and check the timing.

^Missed that part. Honestly, I only read the title and maybe first couple of lines.

Did you take a better look at it yet GB5? I'm curious to know what it was that caused this.

Check your timing fuses. This happened to me the other day, a few lights flickered on and off on my dash, engine stalled, would crank but not start...checked fuses, one was blown, replaced it and she's back to normal
