    Hi,

I'm sad to say I will be selling my Avant and will be leaving the Audi brand :( I'm looking to see if you can help establish a price point.

    2012 A4 Premium Plus
    91k miles
    Stage 2 APR
    034 HFC, trans mount

Body is fair which is sad to say. Stupid people in parking garages don't understand respect, so door handle dings, some bumper scuffs from street parking. I'll be attaching some pictures later on today.

    Thanks!

Bump--need some feed back. 2012, p+ sports pgk one paint chip on hood minor scratch onto rear bumper) minor ding on psngr rear door, heated seats and b&o. High mileage (sub150k) overall great shape for miles. Need any idea on realistic price and trade in as dealer I feel like is low balling me

Trade in most of the times always a win (dealer) - lose (buyer) situation. They will low ball for sure, if you leave car in stock mode I would say $20k at the most but $19k is fair since she's high miles.

I would say about $15k because anything above I would look at a BMW 335 wagon.

The one good thing about trading it in is that you get a tax credit against your purchase, whereas a private sale you lose that. So in my state of CT that would be $1k of tax savings...but obviously depends on the state you live in.

You guys are confirming that even when the dealer said "it's no doubt clean for the miles" their offer of 9k seemed low

In the last 3 months 6 2012 A4 Avants premium plus have sold at Mannheim Auctions (one of the national auction systems that dealers use to wholesale cars they do not want on their lot or could not sell on their lot). They classify them in Below Average, Average, and Above average. Unless the car is spotless, like new, it is not classified as above average. If there has been any paintwork or title blemishes it will most likely be classified as below average. The one car classified as below average had 87,000 miles on it was black, and sold for $16,100 in Palm Beach FL. The one that was classified as above average was silver, had 38,000 miles and sold for $23500 in New England. The other four were classified as average and had miles ranging from 55k to 74k and sold for $18,100 to $22,500. Low miles sell cars for dealers and most new car dealers are not interested in cars with 150k miles so they will offer you a number that they think they can get at auction less the cost in fees and transportation.

Oh how I wish such a wagon existed. There is no 335 wagon in the US though...

My bad, I crossed the 328 with the 535, but you could get either one of these, in a wagon, for around 18k-22k, and that 535 has the infamous N54 engine...but at high teens I would jump into one of these over the referenced Audi above.

In Canada it would sell for at least $24,000cdn or about $19000US...
