Things i learned this weekend involving metal

one: if you are going to spend 2 hours on the phone with your girlfriend arguing, don't get bored and decide to stick your metal key into the cigarette socket. i dunno, maybe i was trying to off myself.

two: if the next day you are trying to do some unrelated wire repair, don't think its a good idea to leave bare metal ends of leads exposed and touching the metal chassis, especially after you spliced in the new live wire.

three: audi electrical systems are pretty damn hardy! despite my best effort to melt the car, i only ended up blowing 2 fuses.

four: if you are not sure what wire connects to which system, you can just short-circuit it and see what fuse blew!

I find it silly to work on the electrical system of the car ( cutting and splicing wires ) with the battery connected. What you should of learned is to disconnect the battery before performing these repairs.
