Hey guys, first off sorry if this is in the wrong place, kind of new here.
So I've never done aftermarket wheels/tyres and looking for some advice. I have ordered 17x8 ET33 wheels and I'm not sure whether to stretch or not. I'm not sure how aggressive the wheels over the 16x7 ET45 will look but I have a rough visualization and worried they'll look a bit weird without some stretch. I was thinking either 225/45 or 205/50. I want to know what to get before I get the wheels because I want to get tyres pretty much as soon as I get the wheels to go to a couple meets. I've included a couple pics with the different tyre setups just coz.
Sorry if I'm totally misinformed about this whole thing I'm new to this thank you.

    willtheyfitis a great site.

I've had toy proxes 4s+ and nitto neogen tires on my b5 s4 and they were both great however the neogen's seem to wear more even, I think they're a little more sticky as well. I have 225 40r18's on tsw nurburgrings, and lowered on coilovers.

proxes are probably better all season but neos would be better i think for stretching a bit because they have thicker inner sidewalls.

I'm running 225/45/17s on a 8.5" wide wheel. I wouldn't want to settle for a smaller tire. The tire I'm using is Hankook Ventus V12 EVO2 tire. First time actually using a real summer tire and they grip like crazy. I'll get a shot of the sidewall for you when I get to my car after work.

tyrestretch.com is another helpful site. They show different tire sizes mounted on different wheel sizes, so you can get a general idea of how much stretch a certain size tire will give you an a certain size wheel.

It would be the British English way to spell the word. There exists more than one flavor of the language and "proper" ways of spelling words.

I'll tell you a story about proper English.

I spent six weeks in London, England a couple years ago. I was at a little pub called Dirty Dick's, right across Bishopsgate from the Liverpool Street Station. Some young hussy heard my 'Merican accent and seemed damn near smitten with me. She pleasantly requested I say the word "water," so I did. She absolutely busts out laughing at the way I say water, as if pronouncing the "er" was the funniest thing in the world to her. She walked saying "water" heavily expressing the "er" at the end and I walked away wondering how the hell she thought "wah-uh" could be the proper pronunciation of the word water.

Case in point- you cannot trust the people who made the language up to speak it properly. Sorry English folk, not like I hate you or anything, but come on! Wah-uh? Get real!
