Hi all! I really do appreciate your help! theres 2 parts on this. Appreciate if you would read and help me!

Okay Part 1: I know there's plenty of threads on spacers but I would want to ask this. Why do people use different size spacers for front and rear? for example, 15mm front and 20mm rear? Is it better for handling than same size spacers? or just looks?

What is the best size spacers for wheels not being out of the fenders? just slightly right in the fender is good. My car is lowered using Audi sports spring. It came lowered from factory.

Part 2: I have an A5 coupe and my speedometer area is just the normal red needle and red lights. I know that the S5 have white needle and S5 logo on it. Is it possible to change the colour of the needle to blue or white? and the other lights on the speedometer? instead of red, i like it to be blue or white. I can't seem to find anything on this.

Part 1 answer... from what I know it's just for looks and not handling.... the rear track is approx. 5mm narrower stock so the 5mm wider spacer rear allows you to even out the look having front and rear both flush.

Regarding your needle question, you will likely need to pull out the entire gauge cluster, disassemble it and replace the needle.

I had to pull out the gauge cluster in my old Honda to replace some burnt out LEDs and it wasn't too difficult. It can probably be done but not sure how easy it will be on the A5. I haven't seen anyone else do it so you'd probably be on your own to figure it out.
