I have been going back and forth between the two options and think it's about time I make a decision. Thoughts between the two tunes and what's the best option?

If you're only considering a pump gas file, then their results are about the same. Look at the S4/S5 quarter-mile times for references, there's a good mix from both tuners in the top times. Most everyone here is happy with the company they chose, there really is no "better" option from a performance perspective.

GIAC and EPL offer program switching and options for dual pulleys and e85 if you're interested. APR doesn't have program switching at the moment, you have to visit your dealer to switch files. Both GIAC and APR require you to go back to their dealers to flash back to stock, EPL does not.

At the end of the day, it's the location of the dealer and the shop you trust that matters more than anything else.

If program switching is important to you, then go GIAC. If not, then I think the two are close enough that you should go with whatever performance shop you're most comfortable with sells. And if you've got dreams beyond Stage 2, then consider one of the smaller players like EPL or wait and see what 034 comes out with.

My shop is both an APR and GIAC dealer. I chose APR because the program switching wasn't important to me, and anecdotal evidence seems to suggest that the APR tune is "safer" for what that's worth.
