I just purchased four VMR Flow Formed 803 rims and wanted to share my experience.
Background
The V803 is a lightweight, Five V-Spoke design. Due to its state of the art flow formed construction, the V803 delivers strength & weight characteristics comparable to a forged wheel.
Purchasing Criteria:
•Wanted a light weight rim 19-22lbs to reduce rotational weight and increase performance over OEM
•Aftermarket wheel with wheel hub centric for my S3 (57.1) – Avoid the need for wheel hub converters
•Variety of colors and finishes
•Retain stock lugs
•Aesthetically pleasing look
•Aggressive Offset ie ET35 19x8.5 to avoid install spacers
Car Setup
VMR Flow Forged V803 19x8.5 RT 35 rims with the stock Conti 235/35/19 tires and Emmanuel Design lowering Springs + Mag Ride
Ordering and shipment– A++
I gave this an extra plus because the entire wheel selection and ordering process was so pleasant and non-stressful. I worked directly with a guy by the name of Tracy at VMR. I am in sales myself and I can truly say that I would hire Tracy as my Sales Account Manager if ran my own business. The guy is a rock star and he is great at what he does. Since my wheels were custom made and a direct fit it took a total of 5 weeks from when I placed the order. 3 weeks to manufacture and 2 weeks for powder coating. Tracy provided updates every step of the way. Once the wheels were ready, he personally inspected and sign off on the, Tracy provided pictures prior to shipping and then promptly packed them up, sent them out and then provided a tracking information via email.
Packaging – A+
Wheels came in 2 big boxes. Inside those each big box were 2 smaller boxes which had one wheel packaged separately. Wheels had a soft elastic protectors and under the protector was nonstick tap around the rim face to prevent scratching.
Installation – A+
Installation you say? It’s a rim so how hard is it to install? I wanted to point out the fact that each set of V803 is machined in-house specifically to your vehicle, allowing proper bolt-on fitment - no centering rings, no spacers, no mess. Just bolt them on and you are done!
Build quality, Weight and Durability – A
Because this is a flow forged wheel it’s extremely light and durable. It came in at 20.5lbs. I have about 100 miles on them so far and they ride silky smooth. The wheel seems to be a quality piece.
Powder coat and Finish – A-
VMR has a wide variety of colors ranging from conservative to flamboyant. As far as coatings they can do Matte, Satin, and Glossy. I elected to go with Satin Black. They have some really cool black variants that have metallic flakes in them that I almost pulled the trigger on but I decided I wanted to keep it solid as that would look the best with the black optics package on my S3.. With that being said I gave them an A- as there was some very small imperfections on the wheels. It was very minor and not noticeable unless you stare at it.
Check out all the different colors and coatings!

Aesthetics – A
I think these wheels look killer on my car and I am very happy my decision.
Overall Score A
I was seriously considering Avant Garde M590’s and the Renn Sport RS-51 but what pushed me over the edge was four main things:
1) No hub rings
2) Use Stock lugs
3) Powered coating options
4) Customer service by Tracy
I know that if I ever have a problem with my rims Tracy has my back and that means a lot when you’re going to make a purchase of this size.
P.S. I also coated these rims with Wolfgang Uber Cermanic Caoting
