Anyone running Hyperco's with Vogtland coilovers, advice please...

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have my Vogtland coilovers installed now, standard #968309's.I feel that I would have been better with the GT1 rear springs from Achtuning but the freight to Australia and no warranty ruled that out so I bought from an importer here.I'm guessing with one or two passengers in the back or a trunk load these std springs just wont cut the mustard-they just feel too soft to me.
Any suggestions on Hyperco models that would mate nicely with my setup ? ( I'm just baffled looking through their catalogue ! )
I'm at 25" all round but would like to drop the rear maybe another 1/3".

Whoa...I just had a flash,do Hyperco's require their own perch,I was just assuming my VL adjustables would maybe slip in.
And what about the lower OEM pad's,would the HC pig tail end just fit ?
okay,I just pulled a rear rim off and measured the top perch with verniers, difficult to get to but ~61mm-2.4 inches.
    All new to me,thanks...

I have them on my B7 and I originally only planned for a daily driver so I thought the rear coils would be fine. And they are good and hold up well. But I do wish I had spent the extra $100 for the GT kit. The extra weight rating always helps. Sorry you cannot get GT springs so easily.

I'm asking Achtuning if its possible to buy the GT1 springs separately I'll let you know...

I think the GT springs are at #700 up from #650 but could be mistaken.

That could be correct ,Vogtland apparently don't release the std numbers but Achtuning's own designed springs are at ,yes 700.The standard coilovers kit's rear springs are defin. up from the S-line sport suspension but that is woeful if we want to get the most out of our cars.

I would appreciate to hear from others who have found the rears lacking with Vogtlands.
The above mentioned thread is a mine of information but is about ST's and although similar maybe have different rear adjustable perches for eg range of adjustment, dia etc .If Hyperco's are fitted I'd definitely want to retain the adjustable V/L perch-thats why I bought them,to be able to raise and lower the car at will.
    Anyone out there ...
