    S4 Dual EFR6758 900hp daily driver build

    Hi from Sweden

    Thought that i would start a thread about my build. Will take some time to complete.
    But hoping it will be ready for the summer of 2017
    Sold my S2 this fall. that i have hade for 10 years. A 760hp (mostly) daily driver. :)

    Will edit this as the build is coming along. I will probably forget something also.

    Engine spec (so far):
    2.7L block.
    Eurospec big bottom kit.
    JE piston
    rosstech connecting rods
    NA 2.8L portedheads with S4 valves.
    Uprated valvesprings
    Custom exhaustmanifolds
    Custom intake manifold
    Custom IC and intake pipes

    Fuelsystem:
    Bosch motorsport 1300cc
    2 DW-301 fuelpumps
    ehtanolsensor for EMS

    Drivetrain and chassi:
    KW V3 suspension
    AkMotorsport bushings
    AkMotorsport rearaxel brace

    EMS:
    MaxxECU plugin

    It's been done once before. The 6758's surged up top, owner downsized to the 6258's IIRC. Still cracked 700whp, probably could have gone higher but it was running out of fuel pump up top.

    Did they ever find out what was causing he surging?

    thx for feedback.

    Yes i saw this car. and contacted the tuner, they hade problem with surge. but they didnt give a reson and dont think they tried much to correct it.
    I saw this after i ordered the turbos.
    But with ported heads and NA cams I think it will work. if not, i will regrind cams after my own spec.

    dont know many that have hade problem with surge on. that will often occur in low end.

    my opinion is that EFR is the best turbo on the market. and I really want to use them.


    A question: Do you know of any other Plugin EMS systems?

    and please forgive me for spelling or language issues. ;)

    I thought he was going bigger not smaller?

    Scott at MAKK Motoring built the car, I think you already spoke with him. Jason at AMD was the one that tuned the car. IIRC the turbos were just improperly sized for the 2.7, I don't remember the specifics of the build though, although I did ride in it a few times in all of its various forms. I think BW has a tool you can use on their website to see where the surge line is if you know all the parameters.

    Maybe you'll have better luck with big CNC ported heads, I think Scott had small port heads on the car. He had everything to go all out crazy with it, CNC'd big port heads and all the 3L stuff but he sold the car and moved on. Not sure what the new owners plan is for it either.

    I'm pretty sure that these turbos will work great with big port heads and good cams. If the intake side flows enough, it won't surge.

    Good luck for the project, I am very interested of the result! :)

    Yes i spoke briefly with scott. he just told me that i didnt work well. but didnt give so much info. but iam thankful for the info i got.

    Ported NA heads will have more than sufficient flow. I think. they have huge intake ports compared to the stock heads to start with.
    Will use custom intake manifold also.

    If anyone have more specific info about the surge problem please share. :)

    My project had to be paused for a while. Started my own company and family took to much time. But hopefully I will continue this winter
