beeping siren outta control

I recently took my b6 s4 out of storage it was sitting in the cold for 9 months.

After having to put a new battery in her she's working great.

Except my car beeps non stop (from the trunk siren). Even when it's locked or unlocked or sometimes driving down the road it beeps until it wakes the neighbour's up at night.

now I read up on some stuff pointing that the siren batteries are dead or bad.

I don't want to try and fix them I'd rather replace the whole unit. How hard is it to install a new unit? (Anyone have a link or part number?)And also can I disable the stupid siren all together? I'd rather have it shut off all together than worrying about waking neighbour's up at night.

Yup I copied this. ....Should be at the right hand side, behind the trunk lining, close to the amplifier, and the fuel filler flap. The module is fixed with a bracket, which is bent downwards slightly. Small black plastic box......Just disconnect it. ECS has them. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...en/1k0951605c/

But you can find them at a lot of places. ...How cool would it be to get one that did the Audi DUN Dun Dun ..Dun...yup drinking a little .

Did you try locking and unlocking the rear fold down seat backs? Mine does it every time I lock the seats. I just hit the unlock on the fob and it stops.
