Nowhere to place jack / axle stands

I'm having trouble finding suitable locations to place jack stands. I'm lifting the car behind the front wheel with a hydraulic lifter, so I can't place the stand next to it (the wheels of the lifter get in the way). What are some other suitable places to place the stands? I was thinking the lower control arm bushing, or the other silver thing next to it. Thoughts?

I usually place a piece of wood between the jack and the vehicle.
Of course I have access to a lift so im spoiled.
Without taking the dust covers off, there is usually a ridge running about 4-6 inches under the car down each side.
Your placement looks decent but you could probably move it farther back to place the stand there instead.

I managed to put the hydraulic lift at the very edge of the jacking point and had just enough room for the stands when I installed my exhaust.

I really wish there were aftermarket jacking rails for these cars. Had them on my 03 Cobra. Not only great for lifting the car, but added a lot of stiffness to the chassis.

Recommended from various forums is a jack pad or hockey puck with cut in the middle to line up with the pinch weld. Lately I've been using an old rubber floor mat which I cut up to lay on the jack stands

^^^ This. I've been doing this with a hockey puck to protect the pinch welds. It's still a tight fight with my jack's footprint and the stand, but it works once you get the hang of where to place the jack to make room for the stand.

The chassis is pretty stiff, you can probably lift the car high enough from the rear jacking point to put a stand under the front jacking point and vice versa.

While possible, I'd advise extreme caution if you try this. These are heavy cars and you end up with a situation where the weight of the car is trying to rotate the jack toward the end not being jacked - its worse when jacking from the rear due to the front-heavy weight bias.

I tried this once and could visibly see how much side-load was on the jack - I was worried the jack could fail or start tipping if I tried to get everything high enough to get an axle stand under the front jack point.

Arms for me. Rear up first from the gas tank, two rear stands placed at once. Two jacks up front, and try to lift each side in unison or close. Place front two on front arms. Done this many times, and stayed on stands for up to 8 weeks.

    Did not read FYI.
