MMI System Update + Most recent maps

Hi guys...just wondering if anyone knows where I can get this info or if it is available.

Have there been any system updates (not maps...but the operating system) for the 2013 S5's? If so does anyone know where I can download the update and if there are any installation instructions?

Also....does anyone have the map updates or the download link for the most recent maps?

only way to do is to go to the dealer and pay around 500$ for it.. can,t believe theres not one hacker who found a way around yet...i don't mind paying 100, max 200$ now and then for the update, but with smartphone these day, no way im paying 500-600 for an update that could well be free when you pay 40-75k$ a car..

Can't argue there. I don't even mess with my navigation. I'll just use google maps on my iPhone and have the voice via Bluetooth play over the speakers in the car, close enough! Now way I'd pay $500 to update the maps.

I bought new maps off someone on this forum last year. Worked great, I'll do some digging and see if I can find him and see if he has updated maps.

I have a 2010 S5. I bought the updated maps through the dealership last year. Got tired of businesses or roads being different. I don't think I paid near $500, though.

I think I still have the mmi update somewhere. Philip001 is the guy here on AZ. Mmi and maps. I do believe he has the newer maps too for 3g+

As stated, map updates for the 3G+ units can only be done by a dealer, however, firmware updates are free under warranty if you can get your dealer to do them. There have been several updates since 2013. The current and latest update is K0814. There is also a hardware upgrade to restore 3G service for the 2013 units in the markets where T-Mobile has refarmed their network resulting in the 2013 units to be downgraded to 2G only. This hardware upgrade also includes the latest firmware update, and with the new hardware you can sign up for service with AT&T instead of T-Mobile.

As in change it to a RS5 screen etc? If that's what you mean. It's right in the hidden MMI menu, I did it for fun via Carista a few weeks back when I was testing the capabilities of it. .It was pointless since I have a S5, so I just changed it back, but it did work rather easy :).
