    Another RS5 Brake Question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Although I have plenty of life left on the OEM pads for my 2015 RS5 (about 10K miles now), I am thinking of switching out to something with more bite. Just when I was about to order the Hawk HPS, a friend told me he can get me whatever I want at cost (this remains to be seen). IF this is the case, what should I get? Brembo? Am I pricing the kit, or do I just get the pads (not even sure Brembo makes just a pad for the RS5. Disclaimer: I am not knowledgeable about brakes at all. I'm just interested in getting something with more immediate stopping power. I plan to keep the car for at least 3 more years. All advice welcome.

Never heard of brembo branded pads. Most on here go hawk and love them. I have hawk hps pads, better braking, less dust, no warping issues and have great wear.

The newly revised pads from Audi are Brembo branded.

Here is what came with my RS5 brakes for example (see the pictures): http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...0#post11620710

Nothing was wrong with the OE Brembos but I do an occasional track day so I'm currently running Hawk HPS 5.0 - I'm a fan. Low dust, no noise, and good stopping power even after a number of laps. They cost around $300 for the front set.

Thanks for the answers. Since I might be able to get parts at cost, I was thinking of going crazy and getting an entire ceramic kit. But even at cost and based on what I'm using the car for it seems like overkill, so will probably just do the Hawk pads.
