Question Flashing glow plug light A4 B8 2.0TDI

    Hi,

This is my first problem with the car.(2012 MY pre face lift)
It has done 43k KMs and recently met with an accident requiring repairs to rear RHS.
Repairs were done at the agents and after about two weeks they released the car.
No issues at the start but after driving for about 500m the glow plug light flashing and the car didn't pull well. So returned back to the agents guarage. Initially thsy said it's water contamination of diesel fuel but I very much doubt it unless they
got water into the tank while tinkering the car. Car is driveable up to about 70KMPH and does not go beyond 2500 rpm.

Two days with them and the fault appears to be ' low fuel pressure' . They have cleaned the pump still the light flashes after a while.

What exactly could be the culprit?
    Thanks in advance.

The guessing is not helping in those cases, you need vcds(even this might not give direct answer, but will get you closer), just one link for reference:
    http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads...riving.108801/

Could be related to the dpf:

You may take it a bit longer ride and see if dpf will complete regeneration, if thats the case!

    Or try this:

    Thanks for yr views.

The agent had it connected to scanner & told me it's the 'low fuel pressure" . But , I didn't see it myself

Since they could not come out with a solution , I'm worried.
Car is still with them. They seem to guess a lot. Said that it was the 'fuel pressure sensor' then said that 'fuel pressure regulator' but still not solved.
They promised to give the car today. Just waiting for their call.

Ok, lets wait...hopefully getting sorted without replacing to much. I had same error code few days ago with petrol engine, but was running nearly empty tank, cleared code, have not come back since,it was intermittent code!

    Hi,
Got the car today, everything sorted out.
However, no clue as to what the problem was. They have removed the pressure sensors/ regulator and common rail and cleaned.
    no errors now.

thanks for the support. I was really worried.
