I'm looking for the right Avant as a daily and I'm kind of interested in the one below. Just want to know if anyone has any experience with 777 and if it's a reputable spot. Let me know and thanks in advance.

No experience with them, but a couple potential red flags. That car is not "fully loaded" unless the previous owner swapped out the steering wheel to one without radio controls; my B6 A4 had them. The other thing is that they indicate that the timing "belt" was recently changed, but I believe the 4-cylinder engine has a chain, whereas the 3.0 (my old engine) has a belt. Ask for all the service records, check the CarFax, and have your own PPI done.

Also, the price seems crazy high for that many miles. Unless there is a rarity value added to the Avants, that thing should be closer to $7k. I think I got ~$4.5k for my loaded 6-speed 3.0 A4 with 78k miles last year when I traded it in, just to give you another data point.

I bought my 2006 Avant 6mt there Sept 2015 and the car has been pretty bad. I am a car guy but terrible at buying cars, I should of had it checked out first but I trusted the dealer and was to excited. In the first three months I put $4000 of repairs in to the car. I still have the air bag light on, both xenon headlights flicker and give me warnings, and there is an exhaust leak. Those things are next to fix, it's like it never stops.

They have a reputation for high mileage, high cost cars that need a lot of work. I have looked at a few cars from there, for friends, and have always come away with a feeling that... "You want that much for this?" They offer the bare minimum state law warranty, have never seemed inclined to want to fix a problem before sale, but will gladly charge 125.00/hr to repair after sale. Don't know for certain, but a lot of the cars seem to be " red light specials" you see at the used car auctions.

    I must add... buyer beware!
Family comes First!.... Nice cars a close second.

For topless Summer fun... 2013 Volcano Red S5 Cabriolet Prestige, Black Optics Grill, Rear Valance, Tint, IE Down Pipes... SOLD!

Semi-Daily Driver: 2016 A8L, Glacier White... Where to begin with the mods??? SOLD!

Mine had 120,000 miles but the price was about $1000 cheaper than anywhere else so that is what drew me in. Now I know why.

This a used cars dealership. The essence of the business is to find desireable cars at wholesale price at auctions and sell them on their lot for a profit. Like every other car dealership...The guys don't know and don't care anything about the car's history, who owned it, how it was driven, maintained etc. stories and bulshit. You want the car. They want your money.

If there is no manufacturers warranty on the car car is sold as is.

Now to consider cars who are owned by someone who considers himself a car guy and enthusiast because he was polishing and waxing the car every week and considers his car best in the country and modified it and hanged on forums etc.Yes you can do that too.For a cost. And probabbely you will pay more , than the car is worth. And there is also no guarantee the guy knew what he is doing cause you can do something wrong all life if nobody tell you you are doing it wrong...I know plenty such guys.

If you like to buy a used car it's your job to check the car's condition. If you don't know what and how to check - buy an new car with a warranty.

LOL to whoever walks into a used car dealership and pays full price for a car.

Thanks for the relevant help on the dealership. I just wanted to know if it was worth my time and effort to take the next steps. If I wanted gospel, I'd go to church.

Thanks to Gsf1200m and delz05 for the help.

They have a deposit on it. Hopefully the buyer sees this thread on the dealership or maybe it can help someone in a future search.

As I stated earlier, the car is under deposit.

    That's about it

The OP asked about any experience with this car lot and I gave him what he asked for. My advice is to have it checked out before you buy. With your logic we don't need reviews on any used car lot. And by car guy I mean I do all my own work, and I have done more on this car than any other one I have owned. Like I said, I should have had it checked out before I bought it, and then I would still be able to give this place a bad review. The last new car I bought had three major problems covered under warranty, and when the warranty was over the problems kept coming. After that I switched to used.

probably too late--- but I have been there a few times- the descriptions are accurate they buy auction cars. To be candid I found them a bit shady. they ended up with an allroad I dumped at a local VW dealer (Quirk) and were marketing / representing the car in a way that was not transparent---claiming one owner car, and some other representations that were not accurate about the condition of the car. So what, it's a used car lot and it's up to the buyer to validate-----
BTW I called them to tell them that the car was not being represented correctly
