Does disabling TPMS have negative impact on other things..

Two indy mechanics told me that disabling the TMPS warning would cause other issues to arise in the system. I just thought it was a pretty simple VAGCOM setting especially since not everyone is running TPMS. (maybe they thought i was recommending unplugging the antennas)

Anyway just thought i would check with you all, get some firsthand account and see if anyone who has done it has has 'issues'

That is probably the dumbest thing I've heard all day. A lot of b6/b7's (mine included) didn't come with TMPS - therefore, it is switched off.

No, there shouldn't be any other issues other than just not having the TMPS function.

that's exactly what i thought.

also, don't underestimate just how dumb us people can be! the day is early, still plenty of time for something dumber to cross your path.
