Intro:
Creating this build page mainly for myself, as the majority of my posts will be common modifications that you all have seen before. Incase anyone is still reading/interested, I got my Volcano Red S4 this year with a little under 38,000 miles on the odometer. I'm going to receive a lot of hate/judgement for this, but this is my "true" first car (drove a 2005 Lexus Lx470 previously). I've always been obsessed with cars and the culture that goes along with them, and I'm almost certain I came out of the womb with either a HotRod magazine or a Dupont Registry. I want to use this build page to keep my modification/learning process documented, and to possibly gain some help/guidance along the way. While this introduction is definitely not necessary whatsoever, it's kind of my formal hello to you guys on the forums and also shows the side effects of Adderall.
The Car:
When I was first searching for an S4 in my price range (about a two years ago), the color red was just not an option. Apologies in advance to any Misano Red owners out there, but I never have like that color on the S4. I came across my Volcano Red S4 one day while I was going through my rounds of Autotrader, the classified section on Audizine, and Audi's pre-owned database. As many of you B8.5 owners might know, they are extremely hard to find within the $30,000-$40,000 price range, especially with decent mileage. It checked off almost all of the boxes I originally had: DSG (father's demand), Sport-Diff, Peelers, MMI, and B8.5 model year (facelift). Pictures of Volcano Red Audi's don't truly show the color off as well as seeing one in person does, so I took the risk and drove about 2 hours to go and see it. The previous owner appeared to have not missed a curb in the state of Ohio, and whoever they had in the passenger seat loved to throw the door into nearby objects. As of last month, I have had all of the rims professional resurfaced and refinished (part of the deal). I'm still scheduling a date to fix all of the dings, chips, and scratches even though I know it will regain many of them overtime as I continue to use the car year-round.
Here are some pictures of the car taken after picking it up:
