    Michelin PS A/S 3 vs A/S 3+

Anyone driven both? I'm getting a set of one or the other next week. A/S 3+ is designed for better snow traction. Why still make the 3? Is there a noticeable summer difference with the original?

Just swapped A/S3s for A/S3+s this weekend due to a sidewall puncture. Haven't noticed anything that makes me think 'these aren't as good as the A/S3s' either. Being brand new they feel smoother & response seems to be delayed a bit vs. the A/S3s. It maybe due to my 36F/34R tire inflation specs.

At the same time I've got a few weeks to swap out per Michelin's 30 day return policy ... I'm seriously considering going back to A/S3s (Texas, no snow) or PSS. I love the A/S3s for their ability to make the car a bit more quiet for the wife / comfort around crappy Austin streets.

I am picking up my first set of As3+ today. I bought them on suggestion. I take it people are pretty pleased with them on here?

I had the AS3's prior to getting the AS3+ 3 weeks ago. I feel the grip is better but again this is likely due to my tires being old/worn. Road noise is also less. All in all I'm very pleased as I didn't want to go with a dedicated winter setup just yet and this tire definitely performs well in the dry/wet. If its any better then the AS3 in the snow then thats a plus.

I agree with B8 Addict. I live in a mountain community and I do have a lot of twisty roads and I like to enjoy the car although I wouldn't say that I am testing the limits of it by any stretch. These new AS3+ in my opinion are much better than the OEM Continentals. They seem to handle just as well if not better in my opinion but the main selling point is that they are so much quieter and when you are just cruising down the road the ride is significantly better than the Continentals. I have a dedicated winter set and I bought these as they have some side reinforcement and I am hoping to get a little more mileage. The Continentals lasted all of about 10000 miles with the sides of the tires wearing very quickly.

How's the A/S 3+ tires now that you had it few months? I'm considering these tires to replace my stock continentals.

I am still enjoying them very much so. They definitely don't have as much grip as PSS but then again I can run these in the winter as well(British Columbia Winters aren't that bad). The grip is definitely better then the continentals in my opinion. This is definitely a great tire!
