:: ECS Tuning :: NEW!! Tow Hook License Plate Bracket Kits for your B8 S4!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!

Why would you drill holes into your perfectly good front grille?

Avoid drilling holes by using a tow hook mounted plate bracket from GMG! The No Holes License Plate Bracket does not require you to drill into your bodywork. Instead, it uses a custom-machined stud that screws into the tow hook receptacle.

Simply add or remove your license plate without ever damaging your car.

    Kits include:

    • Tow Hook Bolt
    • Bracket
    • One-Piece Plate Holder
    • Hardware kit

Don't Screw It Up - Screw It In.

Click HERE to order or for more information

    Fits:
    Audi B8/B8.5 A4/S4/A5/S5 (2008+)

*It is recommended that the Tow Hook License Plate Mounting Kit be removed prior to the use of an Automatic Car Wash.

Let me know if you have any questions.

No this does not pivot. The bracket is fixed but displays the plate flat.

Shame no pivot. I think the plate looks bad flat. Needs a slight tilt to parallel the lines in the bumper and look more contoured.

I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to bend the thin aluminum bracket or find an alternative to meet your needs.

It does contour to the bumper.. I meant that it desplays the plate flat like it's not curved or anything. But the actual mounting bracket allows for it to have a slight angle.

I'm sure you could tweak the bracket for a more aggressive angle if you wanted.

one of my biggest complaints with other companies' plate kits was that teeny little machine screw that holds the bracket to the tow hook mount. i've had trouble removing that thing well over 20 occasions throughout the history of all my cars. this bolt is a great idea!

Its pretty beefy that's for sure! A little anti-seize on the threads and it should come on and off super easy!

is there enough clearance to remove this without disassembling the plate from the mount? looks like there is, but hard to tell.

There should be. May require a stubby open ended wrench to loosen the stud that does into the tow hook location.

I'd have to take this off every week. I assume the edge of the license plate would bend? If so, had the same issue w/ a similar plate holder on my B6 S4.

I'm sure there could be a number of things that could happen by leaving it installed while going through an automatic car wash. I'm sure many would agree, but I try to avoid automatic car washes as much as possible. In the event I need to use one it's most definitely touchless - and even those are not that great for your vehicle due to the harsh solvents.

Jason@ECS Tuning: you're absolutely correct about many things that could happen in an automatic brushless car wash but perhaps I should've asked if the plate holder is the same width as a standard US issued plate? If so, probably won't bend due to the bracket. I'd def consider one if the width is the same. The one I had on my B6 S4 wasn't as wide as the plate so it bent on the sides...

License plate is definitely longer on the sides than the bracket. You can tell by the how much further the license plate sticks out past where the mounting holes are at the edge of the bracket.

That's not bad at all. The one I had wasn't as wide. Thanks for the pics Jason!
