Trunk opening issue - pls help me

    Hi all,
greetings from Austria and sorry for my english, I haven't used it for a while...
I know, that is a well known issue, so have been searching the releated threads, but as i haven't found any wiring diagram, you are my last chance before I'm getting the whole interior apart to fix my trunk opener lid.
My trunk opener button, as the remote was working fine until I've installed a 12V socket in the trunk.
The new cable is running separate under the left side trims and between the backseat and the rear side panel. A separated fuse was installed in the fuse box, and it's just working fine.
As I've reinstalled the driver foot trim (!), I've heard the actuator opening the trunk one last time. As I was ready, wanted to open the trunk with the button, and it didn't work, only with the key, manually. I searched the forum, took off the trunk cover, deinstalled the actuator and tested it, working fine (!). Have the mechanical parts tested, moving fine and smooth. Then checked for electricity on the connectors, and the actuator doesn't get anything. (licence plate lights are do working). Also checked the harness between the body and the trunk and it's not broken (!).
Could somebody help me out with a detailed interior wire harness+interior connector location sheet and a wiring diagram till the fuse/relay box (!) for the trunk harness? It should be some continuity issue I guess, but I don't know where the harness is running and which connector and fuse/relay is to check for the missing 12V.
    Thank you guys, best wishes

Don't know if wiring is different on European models. In North America the brown wire goes to the ground connection on the left side of the trunk. The yellow/red wire goes back to the comfort control module(no indvidual fuse). Did you check the brown wire to body ground for continuity?

    Hi,
I think there's no bigger difference, at least in this case. I've tested the ground of course, it's ok.

There's three different places you can rotate the lock cylinder, one is you rotate it all the way and it pops the lid open, two is in the unlock position and the key fob and drivers door trink button will open it. The third will lock everything, the fob and drivers door trunk button won't work. Perhaps you unknowingly locked it. I would check that first.

I don't think that will be the reason, as I'm opening the trunk all the time with the key since the button isn't working. As I open it with the key, I pull it out at the neutral position, so the safety lock facility you mentioned isn't used at all. I've no trunk release button in the driver door panel, but the main issue is, that I've no power coming back to the actuator :(
That's why I would need the diagram or unfortunately disassemble the interior until I find the problem :'(

    Hi all!
As I'm still having the issue I described and have had half an hour today, decided to check it again.
As I need the car every day and I'm working all the time, I don't have the facility to get it apart every day, so want to start it once again, and be sure that it will work at the end :D
    What I have now:

    Actuator: both wires = ground
    Cylinder: Brown wire = Ground, Blue/Red wire = 0 V
Trunk release button: both of the Brown wires = Ground, Black/Brown wire = 0 V, Grey wire = 0,68 V

What should be the next step, that I don't forget anything and surely find the problem?

    Thank you guys!

If your diagram is correct, the actuator has both wires going to ground. This is wrong. Brown goes to ground and Red/Yellow is positive when activated.

Thank you, I think I've a short circuit somewhere, as the actuator is working just fine.
Is the Red/Yellow wire goes directly to the Comfort module, or is there a connector somewhere in between?

Yes, but if the key lock at the trunk is at the fully locked position, the trunk release actuator will not respond to pressing the release switch in the driver's door.
