I appreciate all the support and input guys. A few quick notes to make some more sense of the situation. I might lose a lot of the sympathy by saying this but, I am quite young compared to most of you on here, as I am a senior in college. Yes this is a ridiculously nice car for someone in my position to have, and no it probably wasn't the smartest move. That being said, the car is a 2010 with almost 100k miles and worth less than a new Honda Civic, something I wish more people new. I only bought the car because a family friend owned it before and gave it to me for the price carmax offered him on trade in and it was mostly highways miles/serviced at dealer/best case scenario for buying a car like this. To my knowledge it happened in my driveway, I only made one other stop for less than 5 minutes yesterday where it could have happened. I do have a garage at my place but it was used to store some things for a couple of days which is why it was in the driveway. I've only seen one other car keyed in this area and it was a C300 but the owner was a moron and thought putting a "slide to unlock" iphone decal on the door was a good move lol.
Regarding the carfax, how does reporting work? Since this will be comprehensive coverage, not collision, it shouldn't show up as an accident. I'd be surprised to see them go through the trouble and reporting it to carfax even but I trust the judgement of everyone on here. On the other hand, with there being less than 100 imola 6MT S4s in the country, I wouldn't think that the right buyer would care about it given that its all documented but I could be wrong. I wouldn't automatically write off a car just because of one carfax incident but I know some people who would.
