    Need help identifying bolt

The 4 bolts you need to remove near the headlights to put it in service position

The two on the left side of the picture

I searched some parts sites and even asked the ECS people via chat but they couldn't figure it out either.

I know they're torx but head doesn't matter as long as they fit, I can just buy 4 new ones.

    Sorry for the stupid question!

    Thanks

I bought a stainless set of those torx-head bolts, with matching washers. Got mine off eBay, same dimensions as the originals. I did the same with the headlamp retaining bolts too.

My engine set-up doesn't require the cold air intake to be used, so I didn't replace the screws. Though any black Philip-head screws would do.

    For the Torx-head bolts: M6x20mm.
    For the washers: 6.4x22x2.75.

The Torx-head bolts for the lock carrier and the headlamps are the same, I checked with Audi's OEM versions.

Haha, Redline. I didn't think to check the part numbers.

FYI we were able to pull up the hex head bolts which are the same part number redline gave but that doesn't seem to match the bolt in the pic. Unless the hex bolt is what is supposed to replace the torx for the supersession.

Below is a 6X20mm torx. This is from the B6 though, but should work as its the same size and style.

Thanks Jason, I figured it would probably be a fairly common bolt used in a few places. The fact that it's on the b6 is hardly surprising.

In any event I already ordered 4 new hex bolts with 4 new washers. I really only needed 1 but having the whole situation homogeneous would probably be better.

They are incorrect in the etka. That is why many have issues sourcing those bolts.

My dealership was able to identify them from my description, and where they are used.

I only decided to go with stainless steel hardware due to the originals being quite prone to corrosion.
