Is there an easy way to tell if your S4 has a tune/Recommended tunes?

I have had mine for almost a year now. I am still loving driving it everyday. I am interested in getting a tune, but i wanted to make sure it doesn't already have one. The car had some slight mods before i got it and feels pretty quick. This might start a war, but what Tune would you guys recommend? It's a B8 6MT.

Send your VIN to apr, giac, revo or epl to see if it's already tuned. If it isn't, choose any of those tuners except revo

Alternatively wait for 034 motorsport as it seems they have a strong tune in the works as well.

APR will not tell you anymore, you may be able to call and try to convince them but they could still tell you no. I did this and turned out I had a GIAC, I felt the same thing but was unsure and got lazy. Tried to put an EPL tune on and we couldn't read the ECU, that was another factor that pointed to me having a tune.

    This.

I figured it was worth calling both APR and GIAC before I dropped a couple grand on a tune. I called APR yesterday and the informed me the only way to know is to drive over an hour to my nearest APR dealer and have them scan the car. I called GIAC and they took my VIN over the phone...still waiting for them to call me back. I'm thinking no news is not good news in this case though.

I emailed the main three and got a message back from all the next day, GIAC was very helpful but they could only tell me that it at one point was flashed. I need to get unlazy and make a trip 4 hours one way to see what revision and get any updates, I need to call the dealer as they never responded to email, they are the only one in my state so unless we take a road trip I might have to wait. Days like this it would be nice to have EPL but in order to get my ECU to read I would have had to send it to them which does not really work for me nor is it cost effective considering its already tuned.

Get a boost gauge or odb Bluetooth adapter or vagcom and watch the boost. 10-12 psi max I think stock, 16 or so tuned.

Doesn't the stock s4 tach bleed off boost after 6k rpms? Where as a tuned S4 should continue to pull past 6 into 7k rpms?

I'm also not sure after getting APR stage 2, it feels normal to me again.... Could just be i'm used to it, but I know my dealer used to flash back to stock before doing work, just want to make sure they remembered to put it back!

I think it is sooner than 6k where the stock car bleeds boost. On b8.5 cars, I noticed more TQ gains with just a stage 1 tune and that leads me to believe that there is boost bleed much earlier in the RPM band.
