Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver 111863 and Wiring Adapter 59236 Fitment Confirmatio,

Just wanted to confirm both of these parts fit our S4s. I have AWE touring exhaust and there was plenty of room.

I also wired up for trailer lights without a hitch (no pun intended). Make sure to use a powered adapter since most cars that aren't trailer ready out of the factory will have electrical load issues powering extra lights.

    Wire colors:

Left side: Grey with White Stripe - Left Turn/Brake, Bright Green - Taillight (running light)
Right side: Grey with Blue Stripe - RIght Turn

This is a two wire system (brakes and turn signals are the same thing, no amber turn signals).

Now to bolt up some ice racing tires to fill this trailer ;)

What I would like is a hidden receiver like our 2002 allroads had. It didn't show. The receiver was vertical, the hitch wouldn't work with the current trend in bike mounts. But was cool and rated (USA) at 3200lbs. Has me thinking that I could modify or make one...I can do that...

It could work if you had a custom "receiver adapter" made to just be a horizontal receiver. It would be very cool if this were an option. The hitch OP showed works well on the S4 but definitely sticks out a bit much when not in use. I've considered cutting the length down to tuck it under the bumper better since I only carry a bike with it.

Where did you get that trailer? I have also been searching around for a very small utility trailer to tow track tires. Any feedback appreciated.

I got it from a local guy and redid it. Apparently someone sells these kits for around $300 but I have no idea who it is, just what the guy I bought it from told me...

Bumping an old thread. Did you have to do any modifications besides cutting the rear valence to get the hitch to fit?

No other mods. Fit in there with the AWE Touring Exhaust too.
