Does anyone know why they stopped making the flush version?

I just picked some up at the dealer and was surprised when I opened the box to find they stick out like my Q5.

I have part number 8K5071126B like these https://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B8_S4...ack/ES2530363/

I think the A version was flush? 8K5071126A

I will call back tomorrow to see if they still have the old ones but chances are no....I moving on Thursday wont have time to order Whispbars

I am surprised anyone actually buys the OEM roof rack... the Yakima jetstream bars look way better and sit better on top of the car... and if your not a fan of Yakima the Thule Aeroblade is still better than that crap above
