    Oil Separator

Took my 2011 a5 in to the dealer last week to get some work done and while I was there they told me the oil separator was shot.

Is this something that I can replace myself with minor to moderate mechanical skill? Has anyone seen a DIY outlining this? I searched and found a couple of discussions but no one describing how to do it.

    Thanks!

Hey man, is it a 2.0tfsi? The oil separator is the PCV valve and there is many diys to find on the web & audizine.
I myself did change this part a week ago, takes max 30-40 minutes and only a T25 or T30 torx bit.

Link to diy, this is on a 2.0t tsi(?) but it was exactly the same for my 2.0TFSI (engine code cdnc) 2010:

That looks super easy. Didn't realize they were the same thing. Where did you order yours from?

I bought it at the audi dealership here in Sweden. It cost me 86€~ they told me I needed a gasket for additional 25euro but it was included in the pcv part.

Anyone know where to get one of these? dealer wants like $300 and i found one on ECS for ~100 but only for TSI but I can't imagine it should be that much more for the TFSI version.
