Upgrading to RS3/RS5 brakes, worth it?

    Hi all,
wondering whether it's worth upgrading my stock S5 brakes. There are several options within my budget.

    Option 1:
    4-pot RS3 calipers (used)
    370mm rotors
    goodridge lines
    new HAWK HPS pads

    Option 2
    RS5 kit

    Option 3
Change rotors and lines to this https://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B8_S5...ont/ES2855151/
    Plus new brake pads

Most other options I saw are 2000$+ and I am not planning to go over 1500$.

I want to go to the track once in a while, without fanaticism, so the main purpose is having a better performance on the road, rather than having good performance on track. Need something to fit 18" stock rims, but that's not a must.
Opinions or other suggestions are much appreciated!

A few pics to sweeten up the post:

I recently upgraded to a full RS5 BBK and I love it. It's not cheap but it definitely is a great upgrade. It really does make a big difference in stopping power which is very noticeable on the track and on the street. They also fit with my 18" winter wheel set.

    Nice!
Another option just popped up (4): Alcon BBK, 6-pot, 370mm. A bit pricy, on the same level as new rs5 kit.

In my opinion brake upgrades for track use make sense. Road use primarily not so much. Ask yourself how much during road use are you relying on REPEATED max performance braking? Hard to imagine going hard enough for primarily road use to make the increased brake performance worthwhile or worth the cost. I think 95% of people that are upgrading brakes on primarily road use vehicles are doing it for the looks vs the performance. Nothing wrong with an upgrade for looks as that is the main purpose for most the mods we do. Just be honest with yourself. If you are doing it for the looks and are satisfied with the cost go for it. IF you are doing it because you think you will benefit from the performance aspect of the brakes then maybe research a little more.

There's also the jhm 19z kit. Looks pretty reasonable in terms of price.

A bit too big to fit the 18", but thanks, didn't see those before. 2,650$ for the moment.

That's a great advice. Though, I'm def. not doing it for the looks. With over 400ph I already experience fade in some situations in the city (driving in Moscow is quite crazy and there are spots where you can go fast). I'm planning some other tunes and what I know now for sure is that going on a track will kill my stock brakes in couple runs.
Maybe I should just start easy - with lines, pads and juice.. But I just can't predict the outcome since I have 0 experience with brakes upgrade.

How are you checking your clearances? I may eventually look to upgrade brakes in the future as well and would like to know what would work for my smaller winter wheels.

I just know 370mm is max for my rims. And for the width you can add spacers. 380 will already need a 19 wheel.

Are those AG M590 in 19"? I always wondering how they would look in 19". My friend has them in 20" on his S5 coupe. Don't recall seeing anyone here in this forum running them in 19", only 20.

We live in PA/NJ & he bent or slightly cracked one of his last year. They did end of sending him out a new wheel I believe with their honored warranty.

The 20" m590 or the m580 was high on my list to go with soon. But I hit a few bumps lately here in PA that made me "eeeeeek" & wonder the outcome if I had 20" AG wheels on lol. 19" looks good with spacers and a healthy lowering. But I'm just going to be on H&R OE springs.

Yes, right. I love those, they are pretty rare here in Russia. These are AVG 9x8.5" / Satin Silver M590, ET +45, 20cm spacers at the back and 15cm on the front. Suspension is stock.
We also have VMR brand which have a similar design, those are lower quality in my opinion and cheaper.
I was also not sure to go with 19", but 20" seemed a bit too large for this car (like on steroids). Also, our road services change asphalt every damn year (coz temperatures in Moscow go from -30 to +30) which means a lot of streets are uncovered and bumpy most of the summer. 20" for these conditions means you need to drive like a turtle, otherwise you'll need couple spare tires and your wheels are screwed.
Can't say anything about the warranty, these privileges don't cover this side of the world)

Here are some other pics, but they stated 20" wrongly in the description.

RS5 kit will not fit 18 th wheels. A brake RS3 shit.

As an option you can consider Brembo brakes from Q5

By efficiency is the same as RS3 but cheaper
    Audi A5 Sportback, 2.0 TFSI, Quattro, S9S9, S-line, RS5 brake kit, RS5 Grill, S5 pedal, Audi RS5 Rotors R20(summer), Audi exclusive R19(winter)

My RS5 brakes do fit my 18" OEM wheels that I use for winter. It's close and you need to use spacers but they do fit.

RS5 front brakes can fit with specific 18" wheels. The brakes are the same exact size as the RS6 C5, R8, etc and all of these models can take 18" wheels. The clearances are very tight and you have to check with a template to be nearly certain the brakes will fit with your wheels.
