    Engine Fan Newbie Question

Just picked up a Daytona Gray 2016 S6 this past weekend!

Like everyone's impressions here, the car is amazing!

I've been driving it around on short trips and longer trips. Nothing too aggressive. What I noticed is the loud engine fan running for about 1-2 minutes after the car shuts off. Happens each time I turn off the ignition. I'm hoping and assuming its just a safety mechanism to cool down the turbos. Is this normal or expected?

On a side note, I loved everyone's comments and builds on this website. Its hard to keep this car stock after seeing and reading your threads!

    Thanks again for your help!

    Future plans:

Xpel, Opticoat, window tint this week
    APR stage 1
roc euro intake, awe touring exhaust
    alu kreuz
    ?sway bars/end links?
    Playing with VAG

    Engine Fan Newbie Question

It's the turbo timer in action. For turbo car before you completely turn off the engine it should run at idle speed to release the hot air out in order to prevent premature wear on the turbo because of the heat. In many bolt-on turbo cars without timer in the old day people would have to do that manually but this is 2016 and it's a factory turbo engine so the timer is built into the system from manufacturer.
