    C5 A6 Can't clear CEL!

    02 3.0 CEL light came on and I can't clear code! hooked up my generic scanner says code cleared but CEL still on, disconnected battery still on! any other way to clear CEL?

    well I went to get my car inspected and while waiting online (long line) my battery light came on still passed inspection but about 5 mins after I passed got my sticker I got code 18032 TC :( I was thinking this code was due to the battery and wanted to reset it to see if it comes back, also had code 18010 weak battery. I was on a 250 mile road trip and everything is working fine just the CEL

    You need to clear the error in the transmission module, then clear the error in the engine module.
    foley803 : What does an electrical surge sound like? Barking dogs? Watermelons?
