Is the APR Mobile App worth the money?

Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you bought The APR Mobile App and if so how useful has it been. I'm about to go K04 and thought maybe this tool would be needed.

For me it was because I was plagued by a CEL about a year ago. Not knowing what it was or having to depend on someone with a vagcom got kinda of annoying. When I got the dongle you can see what codes pop up as well as a quick description, clear them as well as change octanes 93 vs 100 if you choose to (via W/M or gas) and do data logging (furl/air/timing/boost etc). I dont use it much anymore but knowing its there gives me a piece of mind.

I think it's useful. Change maps on the fly, do logging, clear faults, find your nearest APR dealer etc.

It will be worth the money when your CEL lights up on a road trip. That is always a gut wrencher but knowing quickly exactly what the problem is can be the difference between knowing if you can make it to your destination or you need to pull over to prevent damage.

I have apr stage 2. I just had a CEL last week, a friend of mine had a reader he got on ebay for $10 and a free app. It read my error code fine. I don'the know the features of the apr mobile app, but if that is what you want it for $10 may be a better option.

After he was able to read my error, I ordered one, it's on the way

Pretty useful for people who have w/m setups. Gives you good peace of mind that you can change maps whenever on the go. (basically what Ozeyeruz said)

I'm not clear on the specifics of their app or the cost, but other than being able to change maps "on the fly" (keeping in mind you can alternatively just pull over and change maps for nothing) it doesn't sound like the options are any different than the free Apps out there like Torque, all you need is a bluetooth dongle for your OBD port, as stated above, which is like $10.
