    S3 chrome delete, maybe?

I have just recently replace oem tips with black aftermarket ones and got me thinking about blacking all my chrome, don't really mind much the brush aluminum. Before going with 3m wrapped, I decided to plastip dip emblems and plate frame to see how it looks...

And planning doing the chrome on the grill and rings as well.

So do you guys think it looks alright on seapang blue.. yay or nay!

    Thanks

On your car, black rings and emblem look fine.

IMO the only color black doesn't look good on is....black

I have the EXACT same setup as you including the tips, but my car is glacier white with the black optics package.

How funny, I come to a thread for info on chrome delete and literally see my car! I have a sepang blue s3 that I blacked out the emblems as well. How did your chrome delete go and how did you do it?

As far as longevity, plastidip seems to fade overtime & what was once nice, will eventually lose luster and become dull.

Vinyl wrap seems to hold up much nicer for things like window trim & miscellaneous bumper chrome delete. As far as the grille, just buy oem, wrapping will be a nightmare! Wrapping the emblems are also a pain, so spraying them with real paint & clear coat will yield the best long term outcome.

Btw, I’m digging what you did in the pics, but from experience it will likely fade over time

Hmmmm why tape did you use? Just a glossy black? This is my first time doing anything like this but I am down to try.
