F--K, it feels great to be back in a wagon!

Evening Ladies/Gents!

As the title states, it DOES feel great to be back in a wagon. With the help of @Dirtd1vr, I picked up a 2013 Phantom Black Allroad Premium Plus from New Jersey today. I'm not too thrilled about the miles on the clock but it was one of the few Allroads that had the options and color I wanted under $30K.

Without further delay, I introduce "Audrey", my 2013 AR P+:

For the moment, I will not go all-out with the modding like I did my Avant or B5, as I want to focus on building my bike.

Congrats! Always nice to see more allroads in the hands of enthusiasts. I know of a couple more new owners in the near future too. I'll add this thread to the allroad megathread when I'm back at a computer.

Let me know when you are next out near Chantilly on a Friday, would be interested in a drive/ride especially as yours is stock (my B7 is still stock, likely going to stay that way since my son wants it).

Hahaha...lies, i know there was no love-loss in me going away. Since we're on the truth wagon, I **DID** get some "mods" done to the AR the same day I bought it. Big thanks to @DirtD1ver for hooking up the following VAG-COM mods:

I have a 2013 AR and turned 76K on the clock ----- haven't had any issues at all.... it's been a great vehicle.

I love the wheels on that gray AR.

Nope

I've found the Sports package to be a pretty rare option among used Allroads for sale. I assume people who opted for it have kept their ARs for a period of time?

On the real though, coming from the dated B5 and 6 S interiors, I'm enjoying the updated technology and creature comforts the B8.5s have offered in the premium + trim. I know I sound like an old fart but the MMI w/ Nav plus Bluetooth connectivity is a cool geeky feature for me. And yes, the "sport" mode thing has me momentarily enjoying the 4banger-turbo powerplant. Once I figure out the optimal shift-points in manual mode, I'll be good to go and ready to mod

Question:

Whenever slowly creeping over a speed bump, I would get hesitation or a "bogged down" feeling when applying light throttle to move car forward....can anyone explain why this would happen?

At first I thought it was my parking garage floor and the moisture causing my tires to lose traction but I'm not going fast enough to create such an issue. I'm thinking it might be rotors as I need to replace my rotors and brakes.

I did some familiarizing while changing out the oil and air filter yesterday. I found the 2.0 engine bay is quite spacious to work in, compared to my last two Audi's:

During the air filter change, I noticed something about the air box....there is a port that seems to have been blocked off at the base. I'm thinking it's suppose to connect to something or it acts as a secondary air intake duct idk?

Has anyone tried messing around with this, either by drilling a hole or cutting open the blockage? Does it actually service a purpose being there?
